Why Realism Matters When Using a Stunt Manikin

Realistic Movement and Reactions

When a stunt manikin replaces a performer on screen, it must look, move and react convincingly. If its shape or movement appears unnatural, the audience may immediately recognise that they are watching a dummy and the illusion is lost.

Stunt Action Manikins are fully articulated, allowing them to be positioned precisely and react naturally during falls, collisions, fights, vehicle stunts and other high-risk scenes.

Their realistic human form helps productions capture more convincing footage while keeping performers away from unnecessary danger.

A believable result in front of the camera can also reduce the time and expense required to correct a shot in post-production.

Supporting Film & TV for over 14 years

At Stunt Action Manikins (S.A.M.) Ltd, we have spent more than 14 years developing specialist manikins for film and television. Because when the audience believes what they are seeing, the manikin has done its job.
