This bespoke Jason Statham Stunt Action Manikin was created for and used in the feature film Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

When a manikin is required to replace a recognisable principal artist, a generic human form may not provide sufficient visual continuity. The head, body proportions, costume and overall appearance must work together to create a convincing match.

Creating the Jason Statham Likeness

The bespoke head was prepared with realistic skin colouring, fitted eyes and individually punched facial hair and stubble. The photograph above shows one of the eyes being positioned during the finishing process.

Details such as eye position, facial colouring, hairline and stubble can make a considerable difference to how convincingly a manikin represents an artist on camera.
