Water Stunt Manikins That Can Float or Sink
Water scenes present particular challenges for Film and Television productions. Cold conditions, limited visibility, currents, repeated takes and difficult access can make some shots unsuitable or unnecessarily demanding for a performer.
Stunt Action Manikins can be prepared for different types of water sequence. Depending on the requirements of the scene, a manikin can be configured to float on the surface, sit partly submerged or sink beneath the water.

Realistic Movement and Positioning
Unlike a rigid prop dummy, our water stunt manikins are fully articulated. Their natural joint movement and human proportions allow them to be positioned and handled more convincingly in swimming pools, tanks, rivers, coastal locations and other controlled water environments.
Possible applications include:
• bodies floating or drifting in water
• underwater discovery scenes
• shoreline and casualty-recovery sequences
• flood and storm aftermath scenes
• artist replacement in difficult water conditions
• rescue and recovery training exercises.
Each requirement is considered individually. Weighting, buoyancy, costume, appearance and the intended position of the manikin can all affect how it behaves in the water.
Film, Television and Professional Training
Our water manikins can support Film and Television production as well as professional water-rescue and casualty-recovery training. Their articulation and realistic human form can help create a more representative handling and recovery exercise than a conventional rigid training dummy.
